Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

Dear Friends and Prayer Partners,

Greetings from the beautiful island of the Dominican Republic. Our days are numbered of looking at the awesome blue colors of the Caribbean Sea, eating fresh fruit and rubbing shoulders with the Dominicans. God has blessed us with almost 30 years of ministering and doing life with the Dominican people. Thank you for your part in "holding the rope" in prayer for us down through the years.

As we have visited people these last few months God has confirmed in our hearts and minds that He is the one who changes hearts and He has seen fit to use us. We stand in amazement at His faithfulness and goodness to us.

On May 9th, we said our final adios to our Dominican colleagues and friends. We will be living in Coopersburg, PA for our Home Assignment year while going on tour. We are leaving but God is still working using Dominicans that have been prepared to serve. The younger generation has a passion for God and is making an impact on our Alliance churches. One such young man, whom we have had the privilege of seeing grow up in the church felt a burden and saw the need to minister to the adolescents of the congregation. So, without just talking about it and complaining that no one was working with these teenagers, he and his wife started a ministry with a large group every Saturday. It is wonderful to see them fill two rows of seats at the Sunday night service.

God is also changing lives in the Marriage Encounter cells. Last week a young couple who had attended a weekend retreat and then continued in the follow up cell made the decision to follow Christ along with the husband of another Christian lady. Pray that these babes in Christ will continue to mature in the faith.

This weekend, May 19 - 21, over 40 couples have been invited to the ALMA Encounter. Oh that God would heal and restore marriages and that couples will come to know Jesus Christ personally.

Changes are never easy but they are a fact of life. We are thankful for these years in the Dominican Republic as your representatives.

Thank you all so much for your partnership in the ministry.

May God bless you.
