Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

Time is so elusive! Just when you think you have it, it slips from your grasp.

We are well. Right away thank you for praying for us. We both passed our last language exam, but have some other smaller requirements to finish before being officially done with language study. Then, of course, those of you who have studied another language know that language study is NEVER done!

We had a GREAT time with Davin's team in May. It was special to have our son with us for a couple of weeks, but the long term effects of spending ministry time with young people cannot be measured. Traveling is always a little bit of a challenge here in Mali, but the experiences on either side (as well as in the van) were very memorable and fulfilling.

Our second son, Loren, graduated from high school this June. We so enjoyed being a part of the last week of his experience at Dakar Academy! He is attending LIFE as I write, along with 6,500 other young people. Please pray God's Spirit will be at work in everyone, including the youth sponsors and leaders.

Krista leaves on the 14th of July for a few weeks in the US to help Loren prepare for college at Toccoa Falls this Fall. Please pray for God's direction in his life.

Our missionary friends are also at LIFE, attending the HAMS seminars along with enjoying the same worship as the youth. Pray for our missionaries on Home Assignment as they prepare to speak in churches this Fall and Spring.

Our youngest son, Karlin, and I get to enjoy the summer all by ourselves! I'm looking forward to it.
