Prayer Requests/Answers to Prayer
Pray for God’s guidance and leading as we prepare messages and presentations for our upcoming ministry. We desire to be used by the Lord to encourage and challenge everyone to be fully committed to furthering the cause of Christ around the world through Alliance missions.
God has done amazing things in the Alliance in Argentina even as we have been closing the field. We are thankful and praise His name.

Previous post- December 17, 2011
This update comes a few days late due to our travel schedule. We left our apartment in Buenos Aires on Thursday, December 15th at 1:30 PM (11:30 AM EST) and arrived at Jon’s mother’s house in Kissimmee, Florida at 3:30 PM on Friday after layovers in Santiago, Chile and Miami. The trip went well and all seven pieces of luggage came through fine. So far we’ve unpacked four of them. We are very thankful for the Lord’s strength and enablement. Although Judy was hobbling a little due to a knee problem, the Lord gave her grace in the midst of the trial. We’re thankful for all of you who prayed us through. Her knee began to improve during the trip.
Last month we asked you to pray for the following tasks that needed to be completed before we left the field- here are the answers to your prayers:
• (A new power-of-attorney document to enable our Alliance national church to transfer some 20 church property titles from the field to the national church) This power-of-attorney document is currently being completed and should be ready by the end of December.
• (Completion of a church property title transfer now in process) This was completed on December 6th.
• (Change of our registration in the government’s ministry of religion) This was completed on December 7th and was the last legal document that Jon needed to sign.
• (Registration of the Sunday School Material Project with our exchange house so that donations for the support of the ministry of Alliance Publications can continue to be received) This was completed on December 7th.
• (Sale of our vehicle at the end of November) God protected us from any accidents and we sold the vehicle to a good friend on December 7th.
• (Final distributions of remaining field funds in Argentine pesos) This was completed on December 15th on our way to the airport! The vice-president of our Alliance national church took us to the airport and kindly agreed to handle this task.
Our last weekend of ministry was like a trip back in time. On Saturday evening we were farewelled by the Florida church in Buenos Aires where we have served for the past 12 years. It was a very emotional time as various people shared their appreciation for our ministry, sang some special songs in English and presented a video that they had prepared. On Sunday morning we were at the Vicente Lopez church where we served from 1985 to 1996. They had previously held a farewell for us and presented us with a beautiful plaque. Finally, on Sunday evening were went to the Villa Lugano church where we served our first term and were greeted by a half-dozen people who survived us and are still members of the church!
We are now spending two weeks of vacation with our family in Kissimmee, Florida. Ben and his family live near here. David and his wife will be here for his birthday at the end of the year.
Our Home Assignment address is 140 South Front Street, New Freedom, PA 17349.
We hope to see many of you during these coming months as we visit churches in the Eastern Pennsylvania District.

Get Involved...
Pray.
The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—in our denomination, in our churches, and in our individual lives.
Give.
You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This central funding vehicle allows our international workers to focus on ministry rather than raising financial support.
Serve.
Is God calling you to full-time service? Do you want to participate in a short-term missions trip and experience missions work firsthand? We’re here to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
