William and Patricia Hall

Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

photo

Life and ministry has advanced at an unbelievable pace since our return to Santiago in January 2008. It is now April 2009 and we have just recently celebrated Resurrection Sunday. We thank the Lord for the visitors that were present to hear the gospel of Christ. Among the visitors was a member of Chile’s House of Representatives.

Satan has made it clear that he is opposed to the building of a gospel lighthouse in the community. While we were able to inaugurate the first phase of the Peņalolén Church last June, the lack of finances halted construction of the classrooms and offices on the first floor during the remainder of 2008. Thanks to the Lordīs provision, we are now finishing the first floor little by little. God is faithful!

Is It Worth The Cost?
Has it been worth all of the resources invested in ministries and the new church facility to reach the professionals of Peņalolen with the gospel? God’s Word gives a resounding “YES” when it says: “it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed..., but with the precious blood of Christ”. The price that God invested in our salvation assures us that whatever we give of effort and money to share the gospel of His Son with such households is an investment of unquestionable and eternal value.

It Has Been Worth The Cost!
1. The small group that met in our home on July 20, 2003 has grown in number and spiritual maturity.
2. There is a visible church that is intentionally sharing Christ with the 40,000 professionals in the area.
3. The Church Of The Vineyard is one of the last two church plants that the C&MA Mission will undertake in Santiago to help provide a viable witness of Jesus Christ to the city’s 1,500,000 professionals.
4. Two of the university students that we have been working with for two years have made a decision for Christ.

You Can Help Us Meet The Cost
Through Your Prayers
1. Pray for several new contacts that will be living a Marriage Encounter the weekend of April 24-26.
2. Pray for the Motherīs Day Program on May 10 that is being planned to make new contacts.
3. Pray for the Mother-Daughter Outreach Event to be held on June 6 that will be attended by new contacts.
4. Pray for us as we try to finish the first phase of our construction that includes the classrooms.
5. Please pray for us as we try to reach the people that live in "Villa Vineyards of Tobalaba". Our church plant occupies the corner lot at the entrance to the Villa. We feel that reaching our neighbors with the gospel is essential if we are to be a lighthouse for Christ in the community..
6. Pray that the Lord will provide us with much needed funds for ministry. Due to the budget crisis that the C&MA is faced with, just about all of the previous funds available for ministry have been eliminated. We have been asked to raise ministry funds through personal Work Specials. Anyone who feels led of the Lord to invest in the ministries that we are involved in can send their gift to the "Bill & Patty Hall Work Special" at The C&MA, POB 35000, Colorado Springs, CO 80935-3500.

Through Your Giving
We look forward to the present opportunities to serve the Lord and partner with you in ministry among the Chilean people. The most important investments that you can make in our ministries are your faithful prayer support and your sacrificial giving to the Great Commission Fund of the C&MA.

Thanks for sharing the burden for the lost with us.

Pray.

The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—as a denomination, as churches, and as individuals.

Give.

You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This fund finances our missionaries, allowing them to focus on ministry rather than raising their own support.

Serve.

Is God calling you to full-time service? Do you want to experience missions firsthand by participating in a short-term missions trip? We want to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
