Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

It was in May. It was time. The slow fade into farewells. There was just a few more weeks until I would board the plane out of Berlin and arrive on the US soil for the first time after almost 4 years. It was time to start thinking about the "last moments" with the people I have spent the last four years with- a thought that brought a knot to my stomach, even though I knew it was only a year. It would go by fast, but so much can happen. Right before I left Germany, I had a farewell picnic. As we sat and ate and I looked at every precious face that sat amongst us, I saw the beautiful face of someone Christ died for, the face of a fellow friend who God passionately pursues and to whom He wants to reveal himself. And on that day I was enveloped in love. These people loved me, and oh how my heart seemed to expand in love in those last moments with them. In this small way, as I am separated from them by distance and feel the ache of that, I seem to understand just a bit more the intense ache that God must feel because they are separated from Him as well. Oh how He wants to draw them in...if only they would open their hearts...please continue to pray with me for the hearts of these to open and that they would see God.

I have been back in the US now for a full 3 months, going on 4. It has been a full summer; a mixing of seminars, meetings, conferences, family time, reunions with old friends, doctor appointments, adjustments to American culture, rest, worship, and recreation. And in about one week I will begin my fall tour: 8 weeks of travel through Ohio and West Virginia churches to connect with and share with others about the tremendous gift of partnering with God to see his kingdom built up in Germany.

Prayer Requests/Answers to Prayer

Answers to prayer:
God has really helped me into feeling successful in re-entry into the States. There have been some bumps along the way, but God set up an amazing support system to surround me in my transition.

We had a great summer of Camp ministry in Germany-we had English camps, Wild West Camp, and a Family camp-each had their unique ways of showing God's love and moving children, youth and adults toward Christ-I heard some amazing testimonies of big steps that some people are taking toward Christ and saying "YES" to him.

Please pray for the Spirit of God to continually hound these people who encountered Him this summer. :)

Ways to pray for my Fall tour:
-Kindred connections/relationships formed
-Strength and health-I've been making a lot of life changes in regards to health and nutrition-please pray that those -changes can still remain in tact amidst all the traveling.
-For God's word to prevail in all the messages, and that many respond to a call to go further and to engage in God's mission
