Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

Dear Friends,

Recently we visited our daughter (Debbie Adams) and her family in Papua. In addition to the obvious joy & pleasure to see our family, and especially our grandchildren, we were privileged to witness another part of the body of Christ. As we participated in a communion service, listened to the beautiful worship songs, and were thrilled by the chanting of the Dani people, our hearts rejoiced for the thousands of Papuans that have come to know the Lord because they were sent out and supported by you, and those that have gone on before you. As I hugged my new found friend and sister in Christ ( Iaí) my heart was filled with joy to overflowing. The sights, smells, tastes are different from Brazil, but the Spirit that indwells these believers is the same! I came away with the cetainty that supporting missions pays dividends that no one will ever be able to take away, and in fact are eternal! Praise the Lord for giving this opportunity to us.
We left Brazil in mid-May for a year of Home Assignment and then retirement. The living letters that we left behind, (representing 33 years of ministry) will be forever written on the tables of our heart. We left with sadness, but at the same time a deep gratitude to the Lord for allowing us to go back and finish the furrow started in 1969.
We want to take this opportunity to thank you for your faithful prayer support, and your giving to the GCF. We have said it many times, but it in every sense of the word, you are partners with us in every sense of the word. Please scroll down for our praise/prayer report.

In His Service,

Jim & Ann

Pray.

The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—as a denomination, as churches, and as individuals.

Give.

You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This fund finances our missionaries, allowing them to focus on ministry rather than raising their own support.

Serve.

Is God calling you to full-time service? Do you want to experience missions firsthand by participating in a short-term missions trip? We want to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
