Noe and Keila Hernandez

Serving in Paraguay

We are Noe and Keila Hernandez and we are living and serving in Paraguay along with our children Magdalena (12), Santiago (11), and Eden (7). We love good coffee, good movies and good conversation. Our daughter Magdalena (Lena) is a budding artist and can often be found drawing in her notebooks. Santiago enjoys soccer, the Green Bay Packers, and is only sitting still when it is his turn to play on the iPad! Eden is a clever and sweet girl who desperately loves her dog.

A native of Mexico, Noe grew up in a Catholic home and as a teenager moved to the United States with his family. At the age of 17 Noe gave his life to the Lord and felt a call to full time ministry. Keila grew up on a farm in Iowa and gave her life to the Lord when she was 10 years old through the ministry of a Christian radio station.

Both attended Crown College and were married in 2003. From 2005-2013 they worked in church planting and Hispanic ministries in Ottumwa, IA. Missions has always been something close to their hearts and in October of 2012 they began to sense God's leading down to path towards international ministry. They moved to Asuncion, Paraguay in January, 2014. They are currently on home assignment and are enjoying visiting churches and sharing about their work in Paraguay.

New News!

How did the year go by so quickly? We have enjoyed getting to meet so many new people and connect with you in your local churches. We are grateful for the care you have shown us and for your enthusiasm for the work God is doing around the world.

As we finish up our last weeks in the States, will you please keep us in your prayers? We still have a few more speaking engagements and then we will go onto full-blown packing/sorting/selling mode!

Our departure date is June 5th. It will be an especially long day for us with 4 flights, 10 bags, 3 kids, and 1 dog. Pray that everything goes smoothly. Pray for our emotional well-being too. We have been so fortunate to get to be very close to family during this year. Saying goodbyes will, in some ways, be more difficult this time around. Pray for us as we, once again, fine a new normal and a new rhythm of life in Paraguay. We are looking forward to reconnecting with friends and at the same time dreading saying goodbyes here. Missionary life can be such a paradox! Finally, pray that God will make clear the ministries that he wants us to be apart of in Paraguay. We want to be listening to his voice above all else.

Many Blessings,
Noe, Keila and kids

Thank you so much for your prayers! If you would like to help with our ministry financially you may easily do so through this webpage. To the right you will find a few different accounts to which you can contribute. Right now our need is towards our work account. This money will be used for our ministries in Paraguay.
