English-Spanish Prayer Letter/ April 28, 2009

Dear Friends,
We want to begin this letter by thanking you so much for your prayers and faithful giving to the Great Commission Fund. Cathy and I continue to work at the Torre Fuerte Alliance Church in Guadalajara. We are currently ministering in a 2 year old church plant in which our goal will be to turn over the church to national leadership by 2010-2011. Over the past several months we have experienced significant transition in the church that has affected our church people. We would ask you to pray that we would all keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. Our main emphasis right now is on leadership development and discipleship as we hope to see God provide a national pastor for the church. We would ask that you join us in prayer for the following needs:
1. Health concerns for our family.
2. That God would call and place a national pastor for the church for the year 2010.
3. That God would open up doors for us to be able to reach into the community on Oct. 31 when we have an outreach to the neighborhood where the church is located.
4. That God would provide us with a permanent location where we can buy land and build the church.
5. That above all we would remain faithful to the call of reaching the lost here in Guadalajara
6. That God would reign victorious in the lives of people who are struggling with their committment to him.

Queridos hermanos,
Que Dios los bendice. Queremos empezar agradeciendoles a ustedes por sus oraciones tanto como su apoyo economico. Sin su apoyo no podemos estar aqui en Mexico sirviendo al Senor.
Cathy y yo continuamos trabajando en la iglesia Torre Fuerte en Guadalajara. Estamos trabajando en una iglesia que apenas tienen 2 anos de existencia. Nuestra meta es poder entregar a la iglesia a un pastor nacional lo mas pronto posible. El plan es entregarla en el ano 2010-2011 si Dios provee a un pastor nacional. Sobre los ultimos 3 meses la iglesia ha pasado por unos momentos dificiles con algunas transiciones fuertes. Estas transiciones han afectado a la gente de la congregacion. Les queremos pedir que oren que todos nosotros fijemos nuestros ojos en el Senor. Durante estos meses nuestro enfoque principal seguira siendo el discipulado y el entrenamiento de lideres/ancianos. Como mencione, esperamos que Dios llame a un pastor de la misma congregacion pronto. Les queremos pedir que nos acompañen en oración por las siguientes peticiones:
1) Problemas de salud en la familia
2) Que Dios llame al pastor nacional y que esta persona reconozca el llamado y responda en fe.
3) Que Dios abra puertas en la colonia donde esta ubicada la iglesia el dia 31 de octubre. En aquella tarde vamos a repartir dulces e invitaciones a la iglesia a los ninos y familias.
4) Que el Señor nos provea un lugar permanente para reunirnos. Un terreno que podemos comprar y construir nuestra propia iglesia.
5) Que sobretodo, que nosotros quedemos fieles al llamado de alcanzar a la gente de aquí en la ciudad de Guadalajara con el evangelio
6) Que el Senor reinara victorioso en las vidas de algunas personas que estan luchando con el en cuanto a su compromiso.
