Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

Dear Friends and Family,
Once again thanks for checking in and to see what is happening in Brazil. We are thankful for your prayers and want to take a few minutes to share what God has done in the last weeks.

We want to thank you for praying for the requests that we had posted for August and September. God answered those prayers and we would like to highlight a few of those things.

We praise the Lord for how He is working in our couples' lives in our church. We had a wonderful marriage seminar on August 29th with many visitors participating, as well. Thanks for praying.

September 13- Two babies were dedicated on this day in our church. We had 48 people present and Pastor Beto from Porto Alegre preached. It was a powerful service and God moved in a real way. We had several visitors and many of our members mentioned afterwards how God spoke in that service. Thanks for praying.

September 25 to October 3rd-
Jo went to Alphaville, Sao Paulo once again for a week of outreach using Color Seminars. Thanks for praying that God would move, as many women came to Christ. Thanks for praying for our colleague, Ruth Ann Davis, as she prepared for this week of events. You prayed for God's anointing upon Jo and Ruth Ann and God answered that prayer. We would like to share what God did in this week.

We went to 6 different locations, spoke to 133 people and 65 indicated they wanted to give their lives to the Master Creator Jesus Christ and 18 people wanted to start Bible Studies!

September 27th- event held at Ruth Ann Davis' house. We had 11 women present from contacts that Ruth has made in the last year living in Alphaville. Ruth Ann feels this is one of the best seminars of the week, as 3 women want to do Bible Studies with her and 6 of the women present indicated they made decisions. To God be the glory!

September 28th- We went to a Business Club for men and women. It is the second time we have been invited there and we were well received. The Club mentioned that they desired this to be an annual event. We had 35 women present and 23 indicated they wanted to give their lives to Christ. We felt your prayers that night, thanks for praying.

September 29th -15 women were present in the home of a woman Jo met the last time she was in Sao Paulo. We arrived at 9 am and did not leave until 3 pm. It was a day in which 3 women indicated they wanted to give their lives to Christ. There were also 3 women who wanted to start studying the Bible together. God is good.

September 30th- 13 women were present in this home and there was one decision and 3 women desired to study the Bible.

October 1st - We had 2 events in the same day, Ruth Ann asked for a double anointing and God answered. The first place was the equivalent of the IRS of the Federal Government in one of the cities near Alphaville. We had 35 people present with 26 indicating they wanted to give their lives to Christ. We got an open invitation from the man in charge to come back anytime. God willing we will and we thank you for your prayers.

We gave out door prizes in each location during the week. We gave out accesories, Christian books and Bibles. It was wonderful to see people so happy to receive Bibles. We prayed that the right person would be chosen to get each gift.

We felt your prayers and want to thank you. We could not be doing this ministry without your partnership in praying and giving. So when we see results like this we want to share them with you as you are here with us living the Call together.

Prayer Requests/Answers to Prayer

Please join us in Prayer and Praise for the following items:

Please continue to pray that more people will find the Lord here in Caxias do Sul and all over Brazil. Praise the Lord with us for the salvations thus far in this year. Thanks for your prayers.

Praise the Lord for Jo's trip to Sao Paulo in September. We want to give Him all the Glory!

Please pray for Jeff and Jo in their own spiritual growth and for God's protection in traffic and against robberies and danger. Please pray they will finish their ministries well by the end of next year, as they transition out of Brazil. Please pray for wisdom in the next steps in their lives as to their future. Please pray for God's will to be revealed to them.

October 11th-we are renting a bus and taking our church group to Porto Alegre to see the Casa Lar. We have spoken of this ministry often and they have heard from those who work in the Casa Lar but Sunday they will see this ministry for themselves. Please pray for protection and that God will speak to the hearts of our people, as we experience this ministry together. Thanks for praying.

Please pray for our Casa Lar in Porto Alegre. It is exciting what God is doing in this vital and dynamic ministry. We now have 92 children that the Alliance is responsible for in that city.

Please pray for wisdom for all the parents in the Casa Lar ministry. God is the only answer for these children who have been exposed to so many things before coming to Casa Lar. Pray for God's healing in their lives. Please pray for their salvations and growth.

If you would like to give toward this work, there is an approved special for the monthly support of the children and that number is 44-25-09000. We praise the Lord for your generous gifts in the past and the children say thank you, as well. We are all truly grateful for the gifts that you have given for the needy children of Porto Alegre.
