Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

photo

Just a day until our "Black Gospel" concert here in Tokyo. 400 will sing! Mostly not-yet Christians.

Alliance Gospel Communities, Communities of predominantly not-yet-Christians who join together to sing Gospel Music, will hold their summer concert on June 18, together with the larger Hallelujah Gospel Family choir network. Three-hundred to four-hundred Japanese singers will join the professional soloists to sing great songs like "My Tribute," "Because of who you are," and "You're all I need."

More information and videos of the choir are posted on www.AllianceGospel.com .

The Japan Alliance Mission continues to reach out to the millions affected by the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster. Our colleagues, Jane and Harry Landaw, will be moving to the devastated area this summer to begin ministry there.

SUMMER CONCERT
Please pray for the many who sing the Gospel that they will indeed experience the Gospel in their own hearts, trusting in Jesus Christ for salvation.

NEW CHURCH PLANT
Please pray with us as we seek God's direction in starting a new church plant. We are praying for a team mate and contacts.

PASTOR
Japan faces a shortage of workers, and our church has waited 20 years for a pastor. Please pray that God will provide pastors for the Japan Alliance Church, and for Sengendai Church in particular.

SALVATION OF FAMILY MEMBERS
It is very uncommon in Japan to have "Christian" families. Usually one in a family is a believer. Please pray that the spouses and children of our members would open their hearts to Christ.

GOD'S WORK AMONG THE JAPANESE - Please pray for a great outpouring of the Spirit in Japan, resulting in the salvation of many.

Pray.

The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—in our denomination, in our churches, and in our individual lives.

Give.

You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This central funding vehicle allows our international workers to focus on ministry rather than raising financial support.

Serve.

Is God calling you to full-time service? Do you want to participate in a short-term missions trip and experience missions work firsthand? We’re here to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
