Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

Dear praying family and friends,

Thank you for all your practical, financial and prayer support during this past summer which was a time of transition and adjustment for us as we shifted back to Cambodia. Terry’s schedule had her hitting the ground running, so to speak, but now those commitments are past and we have a little more time to get settled better. Thanks, too, for being friends and a church family to our sons, Ben and Caleb.

Prayer Requests/Answers to Prayer

1. Praise the Lord for answering our prayers for a job for Ben. Caleb is now back at Nyack College and will need to find another job there. So once again, please pray that Caleb will find a part time job to provide for his needs.

2. Pray with us for good adjustments for Jon and Daniel at Dalat International School on Penang Island in Malaysia. Their new dorm parents are Tim and Shauna Archer.

3. Praise the Lord for enabling Terry to translate for the national church’s President and Vice-President at the Asia-Pacific Area Conference of the Alliance World Fellowship in the Philippines. She was also able to have some good times of research with Filapino national church workers connected to the rural pastoral Bible school program going on there. Pray for Terry in this next month of September as she makes a plan for leading our field’s task force on theological education and training for rural pastors.

4. Pray for Paul as he team teaches the “Life and Letters of Paul” on Thursdays to long standing church leaders in the area. Pray that relationships with each student would grow and that further discipleship may take place much like that between the Apostle Paul and Timothy in New Testament times. Paul has been visiting the students in their place of ministry and will continue to do so in the coming months. Paul and Terry will be doing a survey trip of some of the Bopea Region with Joyce Johns September 8-10.
