Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

Greetings from Sao Paulo, Brazil!
Recently,God has opened up many doors with our neighbors. In this very Catholic society, doing good things..being a good person makes people blind to their need for Christ. Please pray that these dear neighbors that we've grown to love will realize their need for Jesus Christ.
Joel continues to disciple several young men at the school. A couple of young men are questioning life & God. We pray that the truth of the Gospel will reach them.
We are rejoicing that life at home has begun to settle down. Christian, our nearly 9 month old, has decided to hand over the reigns and let Mom and Dad be in control. He's sleeping through the night which brings us all great joy!

Prayer Requests/Answers to Prayer

1)Neighbors- Please pray that they will recognize their need for Jesus Christ and that they will be saved.
2)Wisdom for Joel as he disciples several young men at school.
3)Pray as we plan our 6 week deputation this summer. Because we're on a
school year calendar, we don't take a normal one-year furlough. We try to
meet with churches/supporters during this 6 week period. Plus, trying to
visit and connect with family..it's a challenge.
4)Pray that Joel & I remain dedicated to our time in the Word. Our prayer is that not only our neighbors will see Christ in us but that our children will as well. (That we practice what we preach)
5)Pray for our safety and protection in this large (20 + million people)city. There have been several carjackings lately (steal your car with you in it..take you to a cash machine--rob you and then typically let you go)just up the street from our house.
