Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

A Happy New Year to you!

Our hope is that this last year has been a very special
year for you and that it has been one of growth in your relationship with the Lord.

As the year ends, we want to highlight a few
events in our lives:

We arrived back in the States on June l7th.
ln early July we settled into a lovely home
on the campus of Toccoa Falls College in
northeast Georgia.

ln late July, Linda attended the Home Assignment Ministry Seminar in Beulah Beach, OH. Mike traveled to Wilmore, KY for his last study module. At month's end, Mike successfully defended his doctoral dissertation. He is scheduled to graduate from Asbury Theological Seminary in late May of 2010 with a Doctor of Ministry degree.

Since returning to the States, we've had the joy of spending time with our sons and daughter-in-law as well as extended family.

During the past months, we have traveled to Iowa, Florida, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia presenting the Chile Field in local C&MA churches. Those were significant times as we interacted with Alliance people interested in and supporting the Lord's work in Santiago and Chile. Thank you to so many for your warm reception of us and our work in Chile.

LATE BREAKING NEWS:
Over the past months, we have sensed the Lord directing us to remain here in the United States. The North American Christian & Missionary Alliance will shortly be concluding its work in Chile. We are actively seeking new ministry opportunities here in the States.

We'll be spending most of January in Santiago (Lord willing), sorting and selling our belongings, and shipping those few things we will need back home. We covet your prayers as we say our good-byes and complete our time there.

We recently moved into the NE area of suburban Atlanta, and will be attending the Lilburn Alliance Church in the same town while here.

We continue to encourage contributions to the special fund set up to complete construction at the Church of the Vineyard in eastern Santiago (Penalolen) where we have been working. Your contribution to the following C&MA special is greatly appreciated:

Church of the Vineyard Construction/R Fugate

We encourage you to redouble your efforts
to participate in the Lord's work in many
parts of the world where the C&MA
ministers. You can do this through prayer--
the active "holding up of hands" for those
working in the distinct fields where the
C&MA operates-as well as through your
gifts to the Great Commission Fund.

Prayer Requests/Answers to Prayer

1. Pray for development of the Marriage Encounter program at the Church of the Vineyard, Penalolen, in 2010.

2. Pray for the development of the new year's ministry program at the Church of the Vineyard, that Bridge Events being planned will connect people from the surrounding community with the church family and ultimately with Christ.

3. Pray for us as we make the transition back into ministry here in North America.

4. Pray that God's people will continue to support the Great Commission Fund during these difficult times, so that the work of church and mission will not be hindered.

Pray.

The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—as a denomination, as churches, and as individuals.

Give.

You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This fund finances our missionaries, allowing them to focus on ministry rather than raising their own support.

Serve.

Is God calling you to full-time service? Do you want to experience missions firsthand by participating in a short-term missions trip? We want to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
