Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

Dear Family and Friends,
The summer has whizzed by as I have been on Home Assignment in Omaha since early June. I have enjoyed seeing family and friends again, especially being at a weekend family reunion held this month in Nebraska City.

September 22 to November 15 I will be on a Missionary speaking tour to churches in Nebraska, Colorado and then back to Nebraska. Please pray for me as I prepare to speak in these eight conferences.

My return date to Gabon is set for December 8, 2009.

Prayer Requests/Answers to Prayer

Prayer Requests:
1. Praise the Lord for the great family reunion that I was able to attend in August. All four of my brothers were present. We five had not all been together for over five years.
2. Praise that I have had cars to borrow while I've been in the States.
3. Thank the Lord for giving me 60 good years as I celebrated my 60th Birthday! WooHoo! In June I also celebrated five years as an Ovarian Cancer survivor!
4. Praise the Lord that an early August fire located in the main warehouse of the Bongolo Hospital was able to be put out before the whole building burned down! Pray for repairs that need to be done on that building.
5. The National President of Gabon passed away in early June. Pray for Elections to be held August 30th. Pray that Peace continue throughout and after the elections.
6. Pray for the studies and adjustment for Simplice Tchoba, the first Gabonese Doctor to move to Bongolo Hospital to take training in Surgery. Previously there had only been doctors from other countries who entered the Surgical Residency program.
7. Pray for me as I prepare for fall Missions Tour, a two month time during which I will be the speaker at eight different Mission's Conference. These will be in Nebraska and Colorado.
