Bridge '09 Conference
The C&MA's African-American Association and Short-Term Missions Office will partner with 16 Alliance missionaries and Senegalese church leaders to demonstrate the love of Jesus to the peoples of Senegal from November 6—16th. A total of more than 25 people will be flying from around the States and will minister on one of 4 different teams - A prison team, a pastoral training team, a music team and a medical team. We are so excited that one of the delegates coming is from our home church in GA. Please pray for both the conference and for the logistics. Things are falling into place and we look forward to welcoming everyone soon.
Guinea Needs Your Prayers
On September 28th, political parties opposing the current president’s bid to run in the upcoming elections held a rally at a local stadium. Clashes between civilians and the military left 157 people killed and over 1,000 injured. The situation remains tense as diplomatic negotiations to solve the conflict drag on. Our International Workers are not currently feeling threatened, but do have plans in place to leave if the situation takes another turn for the worse. Please pray for the C&MA National Church President as he has been called on by the president of the country to help find a peaceful solution.
Caleb's Corner
Malaria is a bad sickness here in Africa. Each rainy season many people die from it, especially little kids. This month I got to help Mom and Dad give nets to some of our workers and neighbors to help protect them. Thank you for giving to Mom and Dad’s Work Special so we could buy nets.

Thank you for your continued prayer and support!

Great Commission Ministries
As you continue to pray for our ministry here in Senegal and around Africa we are reminded that the current economic crisis has affected you as well. During the last few months, one of the ways that adults have adjusted to their financial hardships in the US has been by reducing their charitable giving. According to Barna, one out of every five households (20%) has decreased its giving to churches. Will you stand with us and continue to faithfully support the Great Commission Ministries of the Christian and Missionary Alliance? Without your support, the ministries around the Africa region will not be able to continue or may be drastically reduced.
Please prayerfully consider supporting our ministries by ear marking your tax deductible donations as follows:

Pray.
The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—as a denomination, as churches, and as individuals.
Give.
You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This fund finances our missionaries, allowing them to focus on ministry rather than raising their own support.
Serve.
Is God calling you to full-time service? Do you want to experience missions firsthand by participating in a short-term missions trip? We want to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
