HAPPY NEW YEAR
As we reflect on this past year, we rejoice in so many things. We had a wonderful Home Assignment in the States where we were able to see so many of you and spend quality time with family. We enjoyed seeing Caleb change from a toddler to a little boy and love carrying on full conversations with him. Our deepening understanding of the importance of prayer caused us to request additional prayer warriors on our behalf. We commit to remembering each of you in our prayers as well. Last February we wrote that our financial support had dipped in 2010. You responded above and beyond anything we could imagine making 2011 our best year of support to date. And at the same time, many gave to the generator need allowing us to meet that goal as well. 2011 was, for us, a year of many blessings! We look forward to all that the Lord will do in and through each of us in the year 2012.
TESTED BY FIRE
Below is a video link to a powerful story out of Gabon put together by Alliance Video Magazine. Alliance Pastor Jean Pierre Moukingui is empowered by the Holy Spirit when he cries for God to forgive the men who doused him and two other church leaders in fuel and lit their feet on fire. After receiving medical treatment, the men returned to their village church, where they joined their church family to sing and praise the Lord. Click here
Caleb's Corner
I had so much fun this Christmas! When Mom and Dad told me it was Jesus' birthday, I told them that I wanted some of Jesus' birthday cake. So, on Christmas day Dad read the Christmas Story from the Bible and Mom made sure that we all had some of Jesus' birthday cake.

GOD ANSWERS PRAYER
Our travels to Guinea for their internal audit went well. Having spent our first 9 years of service overseas in Guinea, we built up a lot of memories there. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, just in time for the inter-mission Sunday evening service. While we were sitting in the conference room of the C&MA mission compound, we realized that it was in that very room over a dozen years ago that we were first anointed with oil and prayed for to have a child. Now sitting in the same spot with Caleb sitting beside us, it was overwhelming. How faithful is our God and we thank Him for hearing the prayers of so many over all those years. We don't always understand His timing, but we always need to trust Him.
DAKAR ACADEMY OUTREACH
Over Thanksgiving weekend, 140 Dakar Academy students, staff, Senegalese pastors and lay people went to the area around Diakhao to minister to the people of this strongly Muslim nation. Below is a summary of how the Lord blessed: Church foundation dug & poured, 573 bricks made by hand, 1800 litres of water pump filtered by hand, mural painted in the village church of Diofane, inside of church painted in Bikol, children's ministry team ministered to around 2000 people in 10 villages, drama team ministered in 10 villages (reported: "Best response ever!"),1000 people in 4 villages reached in evening evangelism campaigns with over 200 decisions to accept Christ, 283 patients were treated by the medical team, 20 benches were built by the bench crew, and the food crew fed 150 people 6 meals.
Thank you so much for your prayers, financial support and encouragement throughout this past year! We look forward to our continued partnership in 2012.
Love, Stan, Jaynee and Caleb
Prayer Requests/Answers to Prayer
PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray for the upcoming Presidential elections in Senegal. Pray for wisdom as we take the necessary steps to prepare for possible unrest in these days. The following are dates for which you can be praying specifically: January 27: Constitutional Council announces candidate list / February 6: Campaigning officially begins / February 26: First round of voting
Aid agency Oxfam recently reported that more than nine million people in the West Africa region will face a food crisis next year due to low rainfall, poor harvests and high food prices. Please pray for ways that International Workers can help and show God's love.
This is not to raise alarm, it is simply to raise awareness and prayer support. It is no secret that a branch of Al-Qaeda is moving further and further South into sub-Saharan countries that have not had to deal with these groups before. Please be in prayer for the safety of national church believers and International Workers. Pray that ministries won't be deterred and that His light will shine.

YEAR END GIVING

Pray.
The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—in our denomination, in our churches, and in our individual lives.
Give.
You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This central funding vehicle allows our international workers to focus on ministry rather than raising financial support.
Serve.
Is God calling you to full-time service? Do you want to participate in a short-term missions trip and experience missions work firsthand? We’re here to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
