Kelvin Walker

The Gospel of the Kingdom gains a credible witness when all peoples from every tongue, tribe, and nation have access, voice, and respect at the table together in a manner that is equitable and honors the Imago Dei in all humanity. Anything less is simply pictorial in nature. A true Kingdom Movement pushes beyond the boundaries of pictorial diversity and seeks Kingdom equity. Praise the Lord that, in our wonderfully multicultural mosaic, we are and continue to become such a movement.

Kelvin was born and raised in Oyster Bay, Long Island. He has been a licensed official worker with the C&MA since 1988, having been ordained in 1990, and served on staff at churches in Pennsylvania and Virginia and as the campus pastor at Nyack (New York) College’s Rockland campus.

Currently, Kelvin is lead pastor of Bedford Community Church in Bedford Hills, New York. He is also an adjunct lecturer and a co-chapel coordinator at Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack. He is in his second term as a C&MA Board member and was recently elected to another two-year term as president of the Association of African-American Pastors, Consecrated Women, and Licensed Workers of the C&MA. Locally, Kelvin serves as corporate secretary of the Emergency Shelter Partnership of Westchester, New York, and as a chaplain for the Katonah, New York, Volunteer Fire Department.

Kelvin has a bachelor’s in sacred music and a master’s degree in professional studies in church development; he is currently working on a doctor of ministry at Alliance Theological Seminary.

Kelvin and his wife, Doni, have six adult children.
