Nyack College
Taking the whole gospel to the whole world
Nyack College was founded in 1882 by Dr. A. B. Simpson and serves nearly 3,000 students in its undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degree programs. Students on both the Nyack and Manhattan campuses encounter a college whose mission is to “take the whole gospel to the whole world.” Nyack fulfills that mission by providing students a college experience that is personally transforming, globally engaged, intentionally diverse, socially relevant, and academically excellent. Nyack combines the range of academic programs and student life found in a university with the intimate faculty to student ratio found in a small college. If you feel called to serve, let Nyack College serve you.
Michael G. Scales, EdD
President of Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary
As someone who embraces the mission of The Christian and Missionary Alliance, you have much in common with us. Nyack College’s mission is to prepare graduates equipped to “take the whole gospel to the whole world.” This mission is perhaps more vitally important today than ever.
The “whole gospel to the whole world” is far more than a quaint historic notion or a future aspiration at Nyack/Alliance Theological Seminary (ATS). Our students come from the whole world—literally! More than 60 countries of origin are represented in our student body. And our graduates serve in ministry, healing, teaching, and community-building professions around the world.
At Nyack/ATS, we seek to live out five core values in everything we do. On each of our campuses—in every program of study or student activity—we are academically excellent, globally engaged, intentionally diverse, socially relevant, and personally transforming. I believe you’ll see these values clearly in the pages that follow.
As you read these inspiring stories of our students, alumni, and faculty and the programs in which they are found, I hope you’ll sense our passion for circling the globe with the love of Jesus. Enjoy getting to know us better.
