Thank You from an Alliance International Worker

By

Between the ages of 10 and 12, my family attended a small C&MA church in North Little Rock, Arkansas. This is where I first heard about the Great Commission Fund (GCF). I remember being fascinated by this as a child, amazed that I could give money each month that would support the work of people sharing the good news all over the world.

Every year at our missions conferences I thought, The little bit I give does so much! As an Alliance international worker (IW) to Mexico was sharing at one of these conferences, I committed my life to ministry.

As my wife, Elissa, and I neared the end of our training at Crown College, we intentionally chose to serve with the C&MA because of the values represented in the GCF. We love the way The Alliance lives as a Christ-centered, Acts 1:8 family that equips both local and global ministry together.

While in pastoral ministry, we were often encouraged by IWs as they shared in our church and at district events. Giving to the GCF has been part of our regular giving because we’re all in this together. Only God knew that we would be sent out as IWs in 2012.

Some people think that the GCF can be too impersonal or anonymous. However, we personally know workers from other organizations who raise 100 percent of their own support but wish they had the support we have because of you.

We are humbled and grateful that our living and ministry expenses are covered by our Christ-centered, Acts 1:8 family with a heart for resourcing the global ministry of the C&MA because it is in tune with God’s heart for the lost around the world. It is this fundamental support that enables us to be in Berlin not only physically but emotionally and spiritually as well.

Thank you for being faithful givers who prayerfully consider how much to give each year. Your commitment and support are invaluable to the mission and vision of IWs like us.

If you would like to give to the GCF today, please go to cmalliance.org/give. Thank you again for your generosity in supporting the work of Christ’s Kingdom!
