converge prayer time

From its beginnings as a small gathering of people with a common passion to take Alliance local and global outreach to new heights, Converge has grown to a strategic, collaborative event poised to help churches “do missions well” in an increasingly complex and challenging world.

Every January, pastors, missions leaders, and outreach staff from Alliance churches of 300 or more people gather to share stories, experiences, ideas, and strategies for local and global outreach. The ultimate goal of Converge is to raise the level of passion for missions engagement in the greater U.S. Alliance church family.

Danger, Courage, & Obedience

…boldly serving God in our neighborhoods and the nations. (Joshua 1:9).

January 22–26, 2017, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Any pastor, missions leader, or outreach coordinator from an Alliance church with an attendance of 300 or more.

What has stood out most from Converge is a reaffirmation of the call God has given the C&MA. Listening to our leaders explain how to do international work right refocused our vision about who we are not only as members of the C&MA, but more importantly as members of Christ's body. Hearing how other Alliance churches promote our international work gave us practical takeaways that we could adapt to our own church situations, both overseas and in our work with those cultures that are coming to us here in the States.

— Rev. Glenn Lewis, Westgate Chapel, Toledo, Ohio

During the past two years we have been able to participate in this wonderful conference. Converge has been extremely valuable by giving us resources, contacts with other local/international missions leaders, brainstorming sessions, and peer-to-peer interactions. It is an excellent place to be refreshed, encouraged, and inspired to continue this tremendous mission to go and make disciples of all nations!

— Carlos and Yashira Batista, Iglesia ACyM Kissimmee, Kissimmee, FL

Converge captured my heart and imagination for the mission of this great movement we are a part of. I sensed a new and fresh anointing for the mission in the midst of a deep wrestling with God for my specific assignment. I will definitely be bringing a team of people with me next year and anticipate the same fullness of power that I left Converge with.

— Rev. Anthony Morici, Relevant Church of the C&MA, Oakhurst, NJ

Converge 2016 was an amazing time to hear about what the Lord is doing around the world and even in our own part of the world through Alliance work. It was great to be with like-minded brothers and sisters and to hear from our C&MA leaders about how God is moving His mighty hand. I greatly appreciated the personal interaction and opportunities to get our local church more involved with Alliance missions work around the world.

— Douglas Thieu, San Jose Christian Alliance Church, San Jose, CA

Attending the Converge conference has always encouraged me with first hand reports of what God is doing around the world. Each year I return to my local church with a renewed vision for missions, a more informed understanding of where the CMA is going globally, and refreshed by the interaction with other missions leaders which often results in new ideas to help me with global mobilization in my context.

— Rev. Bill Schmeissing, Staunton Alliance Church, Staunton, VA
