This is a full-time position located at the National Office in Colorado Springs. This position provides administrative support to the assistant vice president for Church Multiplication and Leadership Development. In the performance of these duties, this position will support the overall mission of the C&MA as described below.


  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar position required
  • 2–4 years of experience in a related position with the C&MA preferred
  • Two years of college in related area preferred


  • Provides administrative support and handles routine business matters on behalf of the assistant vice president; answers telephone calls, replies to email and mail; represents the executive at meetings, events, committees, etc., as requested; acts on behalf of the executive during his absence ensuring that requests for assistance are directed to the appropriate office or notifies the executive when matters require his attention
  • Creates and edits the communication timeline and content for all printed and digital communications for Church Multiplication; maintains their websites; creates content for newsletters, mailers, and promotional materials with minimal oversight; initiates and coordinates the production of promotional materials including design, editing, and production in coordination with Communications Office; coordinates and prepares mailings and bulk mailings; utilizes electronic office tools including: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, MyCMA, Yammer, Dropbox, WuFoo, WordPress, NitroPro, Google Hangout, Zoom, and Citrix
  • Assists and maintains calendars for the executive’s travel and office events; coordinates travel arrangements for the executive and other personnel
  • Coordinates events and meetings, such as Church Multiplication lunch and Church Planting reception at biennial General Council, Church Planting Coordinators meetings, Zoom meetings, SHARE and others, including working on registration with the Events Office, choosing meals and setup options for meetings, handling publicity, communicating details to potential attendees, arranging transportation, preparing related materials, and processing payment for expenses for the events and speaker; may require the coordination of several National Office employees
  • Processes Church Multiplication grants and assessment profiles, submits tickets for Church Planting Sunday, and runs SSRS reports
  • Coordinates with the vice president for Church Ministries on the distribution of the Local Alliance Church Annual Report; sets up meetings, takes meeting notes, enters tickets in the ticket system for editing and Spanish translation, works with programmers, Data Management Office, and the Web Office; edits email letters, worksheets, instructions, and Going Deeper publication
  • Manages the preparation of a wide variety of communications including letters, forms, flyers, brochures, newsletters, seminar materials, and special manuals from written drafts or from verbal instructions; maintains mailing lists; writes articles, edits, and distributes the CM CONNECT newsletter on a monthly basis to approximately 250+ recipients
  • Manages and secures confidential files related to disciplinary actions with official workers; flags discipline in the CMS and keeps the discipline information current under the discipline section; assures that proper notification of all disciplinary actions has been given to the C&MA president, vice president for Church Ministries, C&MA leaders, and district superintendents
  • Manages and reviews divorce appeals from district offices ensuring all required documentation is submitted properly; coordinates documents with the Divorce/Remarriage Appeals Committee and communicates final decisions to district superintendents
  • Oversees the updating of four handbooks including the Church Ministries Handbook, Discipline Handbook, LO&CC Handbook, and Pastor’s Handbook; works with the Web Office to publish updates on the Alliance website; uploads updated Handbooks to District Link (a C&MA app)
  • Prepares financial documents within the dollar limit set by the executive; processes accounts payable vouchers for the issuance of various grants and the payment of routine monthly and special expenses on behalf of the executive; processes receipt of funds to Operations/Finance; prepares monthly journal vouchers and invoices and capital expenditure requests with the approval of the executive; assists in the preparation of the annual budget for the Office of Church Multiplication and Leadership Development including gathering support data; reconciles and processes Pcard statements
  • Manages and maintains office files based on functional needs; on an annual basis and according to National Office policy, determines what information goes to storage and what can be destroyed
  • Attends and works at biennial General Council; assists with the Church Multiplication booth and Church Multiplication events
  • Participates in team building exercises; coordinates with team leaders to handle overflow work demands
