The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) is seeking an experienced AV technical and events support person. This is a full-time position located at the National Office in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This position is under the direction of the Events Office manager and is responsible for providing technical support and for planning events. In the performance of these duties, this position will support the overall mission of the C&MA as described below.



  • Prefer 1 – 2 years of college related to the duties of this position


  • Requires 1 – 3 years of experience in a similar job
  • Prefer up to 2 years of experience within the C&MA


Technical Coordinator

  • Coordinates and schedules audiovisual equipment needs with sponsoring office for onsite and offsite events
  • Sets up and dismantles audiovisual equipment during events including projectors, projection screens, sound boards, microphones, amplifiers, speakers, and standard connections, stage lighting equipment, and other miscellaneous video equipment and connections
  • Develops and oversees audiovisual equipment reservation process by National Office staff
  • Provides budgets in coordination with IT Operations and the Events Office for maintenance and scheduled replacement of all equipment to ensure reliability; maintains records and documentation for equipment, including instructions on equipment setup and maintenance
  • Provides audiovisual equipment support for the Simpson Conference Room and chapel
  • Sets up and operates equipment for onsite and live events; troubleshoots and adjusts AV systems
  • Continually develops knowledge and expertise in audiovisual technologies

Events Planner

  • Makes extensive contacts with sponsoring office to guarantee event is successful; ensures that initial contacts and needed follow-ups produce an enjoyable and effective level of service for everyone who contacts the Events Office including event delegates, National Office staff, properties, districts, and the general public
  • Provides professional and courteous customer service via email, telephone, and in person; forms and maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers
  • Provides administrative support in the Events Office under the direction of the Events Office manager
  • Uses online registration software to build registration sites as requested by sponsoring office; creates registration reports, reports for accounts with past due balances, and other reports as requested; ensures an effective and user-friendly registration process; provides feedback to the Events Office manager and sponsoring office if registration numbers are low or if there are any other concerns related to the event; responds professionally to questions and requests from sponsoring office, registrants, and property staff
  • Works as liaison between sponsoring office and property
  • Assists in developing policies and procedures for the Events Office
  • Attends biennial General Council; assists Events Office with registration and other duties as well as providing logistical and onsite support

  • Accept and abide by the Statement on Sexuality
