Toulouse International Church (TIC) is an international, English-speaking church that is a member of the Association des Eglises Chrétiennes et Missionnaires de France (AECM) and the Alliance World Fellowship. The congregation was founded by a C&MA missionary in 1992 and has grown into a Christ-centered local church with approximately 80–100 people regularly attending on Sunday.

TIC provides a local church home for expatriate families, aerospace professionals and their families, and international students. More than 20 nationalities comprising many languages, cultures, and denominational backgrounds are represented at TIC, an evangelical, non-charismatic church with a blended worship style. Its members believe that God has called them to:

  • be passionate about worshiping Him and relying on Him through prayer;
  • reach out with His love to those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Savior, both in the community and beyond;
  • encourage spiritual growth through biblical teaching and discipleship; and
  • support each other in friendship, fellowship, and love.

In addition to fulfilling the criteria in 1 Timothy 3:1–13 and Titus 1:5–9, the candidate shall have at least 5 years of experience pastoring a church with a call to serve the Lord in France and a servant’s heart.

Required Qualifications

  • Spiritual maturity and discernment with teaching, preaching, and discipleship gifts
  • Experience working/living in an international, multicultural environment
  • Fluency in English (a basic understanding of French would be an asset)
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships across a diverse grouping of internationals and inspire people to work for the glory of God in line with the church’s mission and statement of faith
  • Highly motivated to manage an ever-changing environment
  • Team player with good communication skills and the ability to delegate clearly
  • Conflict management skills
  • Awareness of strengths and weaknesses
