Hurricane Wilma Update

Many Alliance family members in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties still are without electricity. Gasoline is scarce. Some churches in the Palm Beach county area are coming back on line and will be having services this Sunday.
     Damage to Alliance churches include:
Calvary Bible Alliance Church, the largest Haitian congregation, had its steeple blown off, as well as shingles. Some windows were blown out of the sanctuary.
First Alliance Church in Fort Lauderdale had the church roof completely lifted off over the foyer, nursery, and pastor’s study, exposing the interior to water damage.
Rev. Caleb Deliard, Haitian Association President, reports that Bethseda Alliance and Patmos Alliance in Fort Lauderdale both had roof damage. In addition he reports that two Haitian pastors report losing the roofs on their houses.
Our Belle Glade Alliance Church had roof and water damage to the sanctuary and fellowship hall.
Primera Iglesia of Hialeah lost shingles and will need a new roof on their main building and a duplex they own behind the church.
In Miami, Southwest Alliance had damage to the roof of the church and parsonage. Hollywood Hills Alliance had roof damage to the parsonage, and Christ Community Church had roof damage.
In the midst of all the challenges and weariness that comes from repeated hurricanes over the past 14 months, Alliance churches in the area continnue to reach out to their neighbors, seeking to be a blessing. Continue to pray for the leaders and churches affected. Many will be facing financial challenges as they seek to rebuild.
