Looking for Jesus Followers

When a young Arab fled as a refugee from his home country, a family of Christians took him in. He came to love them and wrote back to his family telling them how wonderful Christians are and encouraging them to find Jesus followers. Persecuted for not following the traditional religion of their homeland, the young man’s unsaved family also left. They moved to a neighboring country and looked for Christians.

Upon arrival, they were sent to live in a neighborhood that was decidedly not Christian. Realizing that they would not find any Jesus followers there, they began to look for an apartment elsewhere.

Meanwhile, a member of an Alliance church was praying, “Lord, use me in some way to share Jesus with others.” The woman had an apartment for rent that the refugee family came to see.

“Don’t worry that I will be dishonest,” said the believer as she showed them the apartment. “I am a Christian, and I do not lie.”

Thrilled, the family rented the apartment. They began attending church with her, and all seven family members decided to follow Jesus and will soon be baptized.
