Annual Biker Blessing in Pennsylvania Reaps Harvest

The rumble and roar of nearly 4,000 motorcycles with 6,000 people ushered in the Tenth Annual Blessing of the Bikes, hosted by Murrysville Alliance Church in Murrysville, Pennsylvania. The happening marked an anniversary of the Alliance outreach to people who otherwise may never step inside a church—bikers. A call for a prayer of salvation during the morning Church Service, led by Pastor Dan Lawrence, resulted in nearly 100 people professing Jesus as their Savior.
As a prayer for a safe riding season was given, special recognition was noted of the attending veterans who served in Operation Enduring Freedom and the families of all the men and women serving now. The service closed with a 21-second salute—biker style, with loud pipes and horns—to the troops and their families. “The ground shook,” said Carmen Enciso, one of the coordinators of the event. “God is great!”
