Koutiala Hospital Sees First Convert

Blind and emaciated, a 22-year-old woman found her way to Koutiala Women and Children’s Hospital in Mali, West Africa. “She came from Bamako, convinced that somehow we could help her,” says Dr. Dan Nesselroade, hospital obstetrician. “She asked if we would pray for her.”
After she was cared for, hospital nurses prayed for her healing. Later, Simeon Dembele, the hospital chaplain, prayed with her. “She decided to give herself to Jesus,” says Nesselroade. “She has been chronically ill and has a deteriorated immune system. Please pray for our first convert at Koutiala Hospital.”
