Rev. William M. Bouw, retired Alliance missionary, passed away on July 1, 2006 in Toledo, Ohio. He was 88. Bouw attended Nyack Missionary College, where he met his wife, Grace. In 1950, the couple sailed for Indonesia, where they worked in the jungles of Borneo. They were reassigned to the Netherlands in 1960. After their retirement in 1966, the Bouws were active members of Westgate (Alliance) Chapel.
The funeral was held July 6 at Ansberg West Funeral Home in Toledo, with Rev. Larry Carey officiating. Rev. Bouw is predeceased by Grace, who died in February 2006, and survived by three daughters, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
