Pastor Injured in Climbing Accident

Update:
Corbin Lambreth actually fell 600 feet in a climbing accident that occurred on Mount Wilson, which is near Telluride, Colorado. The fall left him with a broken right tib/fib fracture and a serious skull fracture. The fall broke his helmet.
A group of Christian men were in the area, and one them saw him fall. If they had not seen him, no doubt he would have died at the base of the mountain. They estimated he fell at 9:00 a.m., and he was helicoptered out about 6:30 p.m. that night. He was in serious condition when he arrived at the trauma center in Grand Junction.
Jim Warren, assistant MidAmerica district superintendent, visited him in the hospital last Friday. He found that Corbin was alert but in a lot of pain. His memory was good, but he didn’t remember the fall or anything else that happened until he arrived at the hospital.
There are concerns for the healing of of the skull fracture. Corbin also has no sight in his left eye, and his right eye also has some injury. And he has no hearing in his right ear. Continue to pray for Corbin and his wife, Laura. The couple has only been married for a little over one month.

Alliance lay pastor Corbin Lambreth was seriously injured when he fell 1,500 feet during a climbing accident this past Sunday afternoon. He was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado where he has been reported as conscious but in critical condition.
Corbin reportedly struck his head during the fall which smashed the safety helmet he was wearing. Doctors had to remove portions of his skull to help aid in the healing process. Whether there is permanent brain damage is not known at this time, but doctors feel that he may not fully recovery from his injuries.
Pray for the complete healing and recovery of Corbin in the months that follow. He has been pastoring the Peak Community Church in Alamosa, Colorado and is newly married to his wife, Laura. Pastor Rob Storey and the leadership from River of Life Alliance Church in Grand Junction have rallied around this young couple during this difficult time.
