The La Defense church in Paris, France, experience a break-in for the fourth time on Sunday night. Someone broke down the front door and stole the church’s video projector and laptop computer. That person or persons also ransacked the office searching for additional items to steal.
The first break-in occurred in 2000 when someone broke windows, entered the pastor’s office and stole electronic equipment and other items. They also piled Bibles on the floor and set them on fire. Two years later, a large window was broken requiring $2,500 to repair. Recently, someone hung a plastic bag full of human waste on the white cross of the church.
The church’s pastor believes the cost to repair the broken window from this latest break-in will cost about $1,300, and another $4,200 will be needed to replace the video projector and laptop computer. Currently, the church has no budget for this. Please remember the church and the pastor during this discouraging time.
