In response to an evangelistic outreach in the village of Badala, Burkina Faso, 40 people accepted Christ as their Savior. Two Alliance missionaries have been venturing into remote villages for some time, organizing evangelistic campaigns and encouraging the national pastors who have obeyed God’s call to some of the hardest places on earth to be a witness for Jesus.
Belief in amulets and animistic fetishes that give or take away blessings hinder the bush people from trusting the Lord. But it seems there has been a spiritual breakthrough in the Kendougou region, with other villagers opening their hearts to the truth. Recently, a village witch doctor trusted in Jesus and immediately burned his fetishes. His example led others to do the same.
