New Hope through Jesus

More than 270 people accepted Jesus through Alliance Christmas outreaches in Cambodia, including 200 children who attended Christmas programs at NewHope Evangelical School, an Alliance outreach in Phnom Penh. “We praise God for the 71 people who indicated first-time decisions for Christ through Christmas services at eight NewHope churches,” said C&MA workers David and Christine Manfred. “Pray for their follow-up and growth in faith.”

NewHope Ministries was established in 1997 to address the desperate needs of Vietnamese refugees along the Mekong River. The multifaceted mission, which includes NewHope Evangelical School, also provides medical treatment and a home-care project for AIDS patients. As a result of the compassionate care they received, many AIDS-affected families have trusted in Jesus, and several churches have been planted.
