A tornado ripped through Prattville, Alabama, last Sunday (2/17), leveling homes and injuring 29 people. Rescue workers have been searching for residents who may be trapped inside their houses. Pratteville fire chief Dallis Johnson said he was not aware of any tornado-related fatalities. The Alliance has a church in Prattville, Fountain of Grace Church. “We have been unable to contact the pastor, Tony Butler, or the assistant pastor, Phil Leistner,” said Sharon Henning, administrative assistant for the Southern District. “The church building is intact, but nearby homes and buildings have been destroyed.” Fred King, the district superintendent, attempted to travel to the area but was not allowed entrance. “Please be in prayer for the people in Prattville. Pray also that we will be able to contact the pastor,” said Henning.
