An Unexpected Gift

Can God use a Literature Rack?

Three years ago, a 15-year-old girl in the city of Chiang Rai came across some Christian literature about people talking with God. After reading it, without anyone leading her, she decided to invite Jesus into her heart.

She longed to have a Bible and go to church but didn’t know where to start. For three years, she hungered to know more about God.

A Cup of Coffee and a Conversation

Recently, she moved to Bangkok to study at Thailand’s most prestigious university. There she heard about a coffee shop where students practice English, so she stopped by one day when I was there. We started talking, and I introduced her to some Envision team members who were with me.

As the young woman told my colleagues her story, she shared that she wanted to know more about God. I quickly brought her a Bible. Tears streamed down her face as she received her first Bible.

Since then, I have been discipling her. Pray that she will become well-grounded in God’s Word. Also, pray that she will lead others to Jesus
