Bill Hardenburg, 67, a deacon at Phillipsburg Alliance Church, in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, was killed November 5 while working with a clean-up crew to clear debris left by Hurricane Sandy. Bill was the emergency management coordinator for Bethlehem Township. The driver who hit Bill was attempting to avoid slowed traffic by going around it.
“He was such a blessing to our church and will be missed tremendously,” says a Phillipsburg church member. Bill is survived by his wife of 11 years, Cathy, a son, daughter, two stepsons, a stepdaughter, and many grandchildren. Pray for Bill’s family during this sad time.
