Alliance Church Helps Care for Sandy Hook Victims’ Families

A six-year-old first-grader who attends New Hope Alliance Church in Newtown, Connecticut, played dead as Adam Lanza fired his weapons into her classroom at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14. None of the child’s 16 classmates survived.

“This is a day we will never forget,” says New Hope’s pastor, Jim Solomon, who ministered to and counseled parents of the victims at the Sandy Hook Fire Station late into Friday night. “The weeping and wailing made me think of how an eternity separated from the Savior might be. Please pray for the many families who will survive such a horrific loss only through the prayers of God’s people.”

Please continue to pray for this wounded community, the devastated families of the victims, and pastor Solomon and his congregation, as well as other churches in Newtown, as they live out the hope of Christ in an otherwise hopeless situation.
