Laura and Luisa* will have a special Christmas, as they decided to follow Jesus this year. Laura’s husband, an agnostic, is delighted with the positive change that he has seen in her in recent months. We feel that he is much closer to confessing Christ as Savior.
Laura and Luisa are among those who attend a women’s Bible study/discipleship group, where hearts have been opened to the good news. Our emphasis is on God’s workmanship (Ephesians 2:10). I have challenged the women to consider the whole person, not just the physical body. Our emotional and spiritual lives need attention as well.
“The study of Luke’s Gospel has become so real and personal,” Laura says. “Jesus is not just an historical figure. He lives with me here and now.”
