No Longer Alone

By Taylor Kue, serving in Thailand

Three months before Wipawee was born, her biological father abandoned her mother to an uncertain future. With nowhere to turn her mom went to live with a man, who raised Wipawee as if she were his own.

At the age of 12, Wipawee had to leave her village to attend middle school. She lived alone in the provincial city, where her mother rented an apartment for her. Feeling lonely and isolated, Wipawee continued to decline in her studies and was unable to complete high school.

When Wipawee was 16, her mother passed away and her adopted father left her. She had to live with a relative, who wanted to force her to become a prostitute. Wipawee refused, and she returned to the city to continue her education. She completed her GED in 2010 and enrolled in university.

Two years ago she met one of our church members and attended services. One day, after listening to the sermon, Wipawee decided to accept Jesus as her Savior. She was baptized five months later.

Pray that Wipawee will continue to grow in Christ and that she will be able to finish school. Due to a limited income, she cannot afford her own apartment and lives with a family that attends the church. Thank God for their kindness!
