Ad Leads Blind Man to Good News

By an Alliance team member serving in Europe

A recent ad in our country’s equivalent of Craig’s List led us to a North African couple whose children’s names—which translated from their language to Jesus and Mary—opened a door for spiritual discussion. The husband, who is blind, said that when he heard our voices, he knew that God wanted us to meet.

During our second visit with the family, we asked the husband if he had heard the gospel. He responded that for the past two months, he had been searching for information about Jesus on the Internet through his brail/audio system. Our mouths dropped open in delightful shock; the Father had been working in this man’s heart before we met and had clearly directed us to this family.

We led him to a Web site where he could access the audio Bible in in several languages, as well as to a site with oral Bible stories and music in his home country’s dialect.

When he heard the first story in his heart language, he smiled. “You have taught me many things today,” he exclaimed

We hope to visit them on a regular basis. Pray that this couple would continue to seek truth and listen to God’s Word through these Web sites and that the Lord will reveal Himself to them.
