Alliance Workers Safe After Explosions in Indonesia

Please pray for peace in Jakarta, the nation’s capital, where several explosions occurred January 14 about two miles from the Alliance field office. No Alliance personnel were hurt, but seven Indonesians were killed. Indonesian police killed one suspected religious extremist and arrested two more.

According to Reuters, this was the first time the radical group has targeted the country with the world’s largest Muslim population.

“Pray that the name of Jesus will be lifted up amid this confusion and fear,” writes Andy Brake, an Alliance international worker who serves in Indonesia.
