By Tim and Penny Iverson, Alliance international workers who serve in Taiwan
During a Christmas outreach last month, we presented the Christmas story to students in a local elementary school. We’re sure they had never heard it before.
Later, we visited with the principal, a devout Buddhist. She said she was very moved by the story and hoped that some of the children would become Christians someday.
Earlier this month, when the principal and Tim met with the village leader, the principal shared the gospel with him. Please pray for God to continue to open this woman’s heart to Christ.
In another holiday outreach, with the help of six people from our Amazing Grace Church, we distributed about 900 bags of candy, each with a gospel message included, in our community night market. We also gave out 100 copies of the JESUS DVD.
Around 110 people attended a Christmas outreach at the Amazing Grace Church, where a short-term team of young people from the Taidung C&MA assisted. A number of children, as well as some youth and adults, expressed a desire to believe in Jesus or at least learn more about Him. Please pray for us as we follow up with them.
