For more than 35 years, Rev. Elias Collette served with the African Methodist Episcopal Church. His experience of divine healing in 1898 transformed his ministry and ignited revival wherever he went. The church disapproved of his teachings and revoked his license in 1912.
Free to preach salvation and healing, Rev. Collette became an influential Alliance leader. He encouraged numerous young people to enter the ministry and was directly responsible for founding the Alliance-affiliated Holy Tabernacle Church in Philadelphia.
