by an Alliance medical worker serving in an Alliance medical center in West Africa
In early 2016, I was in a village with several Alliance pastors who were there showing the JESUS film. They brought Kadia to me, since she’d had a chronic leg wound for many years.
Because of the wound, I learned that Kadia had to drop out of school. Her husband could no longer afford to help pay for her treatment, so he divorced her.
At the time we met, Kadia was living with an old man who claimed he was treating her infection. The pastors quickly detected that he had other intentions. So we brought Kadia to our medical center.
Homeward Bound
It took a year and a half of treatments before Kadia’s leg completely healed. But this past summer, I had the joy of taking her home to her kids and her family.
During Kadia’s time with us, she not only found physical healing, she also decided to follow Christ. She learned to read the Bible and grew in her faith.
Two pastors accompanied us to Kadia’s village, which is in an area completely unreached by the good news. It’s also quite far from the nearest church. We shared the gospel with Kadia’s family, who listened intently.
Pray that she can maintain her faith and begin a movement toward the Lord in her village.
