by an Alliance CAMA worker serving in West Africa
It’s that time of year again when we make a plug for the Alliance Year-End Offering.
We do so—shamelessly—because this is a great opportunity to give joyfully of your God-given resources to have true Kingdom impact!
One of the ways your financial gifts make a difference is through helping local Alliance pastors’ wives, like Neema, advocate for and minister to the most vulnerable in their communities.
When Aisha* first entered Neema’s life, she was prostituting herself every night. Aisha was a deeply wounded soul; her father was an alcoholic and her home life chaotic.
Resources and Training
Because of the sacrificial financial gifts of friends like you, we have been able to provide Neema the resources and training she has needed to walk with Aisha on her challenging journey. Neema helped start our Hands of Honor program for at-risk girls, where we initially enrolled Aisha.
Aisha professed faith in Christ more than year ago. And although she quit her life of prostitution, she remained sullen and struggled with anger.
Last October our team registered Aisha in a vocational school, where she is receiving training to become a seamstress. She’s blossomed there. Neema is discipling Aisha and continues to have regular contact with her to keep tabs on her home life and make sure she’s getting enough to eat.
As Neema has testified to and demonstrated the love of Jesus, Aisha has begun to heal. She is now plugged into an Alliance church, and she even sang in the youth choir this Christmas—a big change!
Aisha’s life and the lives of countless others are being transformed because of prayerful, generous gifts to Alliance ministries.
