On Friday, June 22, U.S. Alliance Church Ministries Vice President Terry Smith and Assistant Vice President Rosilio Roman visited south Texas to view the flood damage at the C&MA Spanish Central District Office and surrounding churches following massive rains in the Rio Grande Valley over the past two weeks.
The Spanish Central District Office is under three feet of water and has experienced extensive damage. A few of the district’s churches have also been flooded as well as of the homes of church members and others in the community.
CAMA Services and the district have set up a fund to assist with the repairs of the district office and affected churches. Getting them back on their feet will enable them to reach out and offer tangible help to others in their community who have suffered damage and loss.
“Our churches are rallying with the compassion of Jesus Christ,” notes Terry, “and Alliance family, you always respond to needs like this. This part of the family in south Texas is going to need some help from the rest of the family here in the U.S. So please join me in praying for our pastors and our churches in this area that they will be the hands and feet of Jesus during this time.”
