It is with heavy hearts that we report the tragic loss of an Alliance “Missionary Kid” (MK), who died in an automobile accident on Thursday evening, October 4.
Emily Adams was the 21-year-old daughter of Alliance international workers Todd and Debbie Adams, who serve in Indonesia and are currently on home assignment. Emily was returning from Certified Nursing Assistants training to John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, where she was a nursing student when the tragic accident occurred. Todd was on tour in Silver Spring, Maryland, when he received the news at 2:30 a.m. Friday. He flew back to Toccoa, Georgia, later that morning to join Debbie. They will then travel to Arkansas along with their three other children.
“We are grateful for your prayers,” Debbie writes. “We are so very sad but holding on to the hand of our loving Jesus. Our minds are running through all the beautiful memories of our dear Emily. We are asking Jesus to fill our emptiness as we grieve the loss of our precious daughter and asking Him to remind us of all the truths of His Word.”
Please pray for God’s nearness and comfort for Todd, Debbie, and their other three children as they grieve and cope with this tragedy. Pray also for for the many decisions, logistics, and strength to walk through these days ahead.
