My friend and Alliance colleague, Pastor Mitch Kim, articulates that which I didn’t have the words to say. Please take a moment to reflect upon his heartfelt meditation.

“I can’t breathe.” In a world that desperately needs to know God’s blessing and see His kingdom break through our brokenness, may we cry out with Psalm 144 to God: “Bow your heavens, O LORD, and come down! . . . . Stretch out your hand from on high.” (Ps 144:5, 7). May we not passively observe the brokenness of our world but actively seek His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
- Let us cry out to God for the brokenness of a world, where our own brothers and sisters live in fear because of the color of their skin and lament the reality of the injustice in our world.
- Let us pray to God that the cry of distress from injustice might cease as the healing presence of Jesus Christ flows through the Church of Jesus Christ.
