His Healing Touch

By Brad Reynolds, serving in France

Recently, the Alliance team of international workers who serve in France met together for our field forum at a retreat center. It was a significant time for all of us, some weary from ministry, others encouraged by what the Lord has been doing. Early each morning, we met together for prayer. It was exciting to see how the Holy Spirit faithfully led us to pray for the nation of France, our ministries, and our team.

Two prayer times stand out. One day, we followed the leading of the Spirit to pray for greater faith, believing God for the impossible. Faith seemed to rise in the room.

The final day we focused on our families, praying for God to work in our children’s lives. Over and over, His promises encouraged us to remain faithful in prayer, persevering to see Him move.

On the evening of our Communion and healing service, several came forward for prayer. One of our colleagues had struggled for months with pain in her shoulder; she could not even hold a ping pong paddle in her hand for a game during the retreat. As we prayed for her, she experienced a special touch from God. She was thrilled to show all of us how she had full range of motion and could fully extend her arm—something she had been unable to do for months. Our God is an amazing Healer!
