Dr. John P. Stumbo Elected U.S. Alliance President

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Board of Directors for The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) in the United States announced Thursday that Dr. John P. Stumbo has been elected as president of the denomination.

CAMA Announces New President

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The CAMA (Compassion and Mercy Associates) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the appointment of Rev. Michael (Mike) A. Sohm as the new president of CAMA was approved by the Executive Committee of the C&MA Board of Directors. Rev. Sohm will assume this role on July 1, 2013.

Alliance Fellowship Fund Is Fully Funded

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) Benefit Board is pleased to announce that the Fellowship Fund will be fully funded by the end of 2012. Contributions paid into the Fund by Alliance churches and entities will enable more than 400 participants to receive allowances throughout their lives.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Thank you for your continued prayers for those who have been affected by the Waldo Canyon fire. It is estimated that the fire is 55 percent contained and all but 3,000 of the 32,000 evacuees have been able to return to their homes.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Light rain, low winds, and the tireless efforts of nearly 1,000 firefighters have helped inhibit the spread of the fire throughout the night. But as some of the smoke cleared, the fire’s devastation was revealed, as approximately 300 homes in northwest Colorado Springs were destroyed.
