217 Church, Robbinsville, NJ Worship Team Leader Position Summary: The Worship Team Leader will work closely with the staff leadership to provide worship services and supporting media that connect people to God. Reporting to the Lead Pastor, the Worship Team Leader will: • Lead the congregation and the members of the worship ministry in growing their relationships with the Lord through worship. • Lead on a weekly basis from the platform. • Mentor volunteer worship leaders and giving leadership opportunities as needed. • Oversee all elements of the service production including setup and teardown. Responsibilities: • Recruit, audition, teach, and train volunteer musicians and singers in the church to serve the congregation as a team with musical skill and humility. • Lead and train others to lead the musical worship for the worship service • Lead a multi-generational congregation in worship • Provide long range planning of services along with the staff leadership team and senior pastor • Work in a team relationship with the leadership team, meet regularly to plan and design worship service details • Participate in staff meetings and training as well as denominational events • Lead weekly worship rehearsals for weekend services • Attend or participate in all weekend services • Participate in a small group • Support the needs of special services or events Key Results Expected • People are being led through high quality worship to a closer relationship with Christ. • The worship services maintain a very high level of excellence in the production. • The teams are growing and developing new leaders. • The key metrics are growing and the goals and objectives are being met. • Programs and initiatives are running smoothly. • People on the teams are connected and feel cared for. • People on the teams continue to grow into the Next Level and their disciplining relationships are increasing. Qualifications & Requirements: • Spiritual Development: A mature, dedicated Christian who has felt God’s call to this field of ministry. • Education: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience • Experience: A minimum of three years serving on a worship team, and/or three years in Christian ministry leadership. • Spiritual Gifts: Administration • Leadership • Serving • Encouragement • Sheparding • Talents or Abilities: Good organizational skills • Ability to lead others • Strategic Thinking • Solid Bible interpretation • Strong verbal and writing communication skills • Best Personality Traits: Leader • Dependable • Expresser • Team Builder • Nurturer • Passion For: Assisting the pastoral staff in leading the church to fulfill the vision. • Must be a member of church, attend regularly, and support the church financially. • Flexible, process-oriented, supportive team player. A self-starter who possesses personal networking skills. • Experience with Microsoft Office, ProPresenter, and Photoshop. Position status: Part-time, exempt
