Church Planting Pastor

Alliance New England is seeking church planters for new churches to be started throughout New England. These new churches will be launched out of groups of existing churches in the region, who are combining their efforts to train and mentor planters and leaders and to provide ongoing spiritual, financial and people support for the new plant. Prior to launch, the planter will serve on the ministry staff of an established church (a “Greenhouse” Church) for up to 24 months of preparation and training, being immersed in the life and leadership of the local church, and being given opportunity to lead existing ministries and prepare a core group for the launch of the church plant. The Greenhouse church will provide housing, health insurance and a part-time salary; other part-time employment outside of the church is purposely required. Candidates should have a strong calling for church planting, a passion for reaching the unchurched, and a deep desire to be part of a multiplying church planting movement. Current opportunities are with a church in Madison, Connecticut with a plant targeted for Middletown, Connecticut, and with a church in Rutland, Vermont with a plant target in Middlebury, VT. A bachelor’s degree in Bible, Pastoral Ministry or other ministry-related field is required. Previous vocational experience as a pastor is preferred. Candidates already licensed with the C&MA are preferred; but all candidates must be able to meet licensing and ordination requirements with the C&MA.
